I'd rather have the thought of you
To hold against my heart,
My spirit to be taught of you
With west winds blowing,
Than all the warm caresses
Of another love's bestowing,
Or all the glories of the world
In which you had no part.
I'd rather have the theme of you
To thread my night and days,
I'd rather have the dream of you
With faint stars glowing,
I'd rather have the want of you,
The rich, elusive taunt of you
Forever and forever and forever unconfessed
Than claim the alien comfort
Of any other's breast.
O lover! O my lover,
That this should come to me!
I'd rather have the hope of you,
Ah, Love, I'd rather grope for you
Within the great abyss
Than claim another's kiss-
Alone I'd rather go my way
Throughout eternity.

I'm your winter fire
surrounding you
embracing you
warming you
and putting you to sweet sweet dream;
your hand in my hand
touching, trembling, feeling sensation
my tongue is your flame
rolling, rolling ...

I never meant to love you
it happened quite by chance
I wanted just to be your friend
not to share a new romance
but something happened suddenly
before my heart could know,
I came to see a side of you
that caused my love to grow
the tender way you've touched me
I pray we'll never end
a miracle of circumstance
my love,
you are my very best friend

Each time I look at your picture
I always begin to cry
My hear has truly been aching
from the day we said goodbye
the moments we shared together
will remain a part of me
nothing I know lasts forever
and some things just weren't meant to be
your touch I no longer feel
your smile I no longer see
everything we had is lost
and now your just a memory to me

I walk the shore alone
remembering, happy times
we've known
and I miss you
a seagull flies in the distance
and I think
how wonderful we were
as white capped waves dance among the rocks
we used to walk here
and the seagull dives in the distance
and I remember
loving you
a galore of time and splendor
my love, now I walk alone
watching the seagull
and then I realize
he too, is alone.

Dedicated to Brian
As you come near me my heart feels like it is held my the chains of anxiety
The look in your eyes calms me into a flutter
Your hand caresses my check
I close my eyes as I feel your closeness
At the touch of your kiss want more
Our lips like two beings exploring each others capability
You pull back I sigh for content
Kisses down my neck feel like a feather teasing
Your arms around my waist make me yours
The eyes that I've dreamed about are like books longing for me to read
I kiss like a rose wanting water on a summer day
You kiss as if wanting to caress my lips but not really knowing how
You pull me closer as my hands wander
I feel the excitement of your body
The slow gentleness of your kisses tells me its love
Our hearts are on fire from wanting each other for so long
I feel your hands in my heart, grasped with love
My own hands feeling the warmth of your body
I lead my hands to your dark hair with ease
Softness invades my hands with every move
I tell you I've wanted you for so long
The expression on your face tells me you feel the same
Our love is stronger than any kiss
Kisses are only an expression we use to explore

I'm going to cry myself to sleep
and dream of a new tomorrow,
Where lies shatter like a million mirrors
That feel so good underneath my feet.
The broken pieces leave scars for memories
of love and lies for me to look back on,
and think of heavenly you.

Roses are Red,
Violets are Blue.
I never believed in true love,
Until I met YOU!
Dreams by Shannon Wright
Dreams are wishes...wants...desires
From the deepest corners of your heart.
But how do we fulfill our needs?
Where's the best place to start?
Is there an age that we must be?
Must a lesson have been learned?
Can just anyone fulfill their dreams,
Or must our dreams be earned?
If I could have my hearts desire,
It could easily come true.
To make mine a world of happiness,
All I'll ever want is you.
My dream is but a simple one,
Yet sometimes hard to acquire.
Just someone to give me sweet, sweet love
And fill my soul with fire.
But dreams can also show themselves,
And take you by surprise.
Consume your world with happiness,
Promising no goodbyes.
It suddenly appears
My dreams have come to life.
I'm living in my dream world,
With you for all my life.
Shannon Wright
She is the dawn,
The beginning of my life.
Her beautiful auburn hair
Is an early desert sunrise
Flowing over a smooth horizon
To caress the soft dunes
That are her bosom.
Her moist red lips a morning rose,
Half-open, glistening with sweet dew.
And her eyes.
Oh, those enchanting eyes.
They warm me thru and thru
Like the mid-morning sun,
Beaming thru the window
Across the bed where I lay
Longing to hold her in my arms.
Savanna. My love. My lust. My life.
