The idea for Inspiration Point came from an old Happy Days episode where Fonzie tries to save the town make out spot from a new freeway off ramp. Richie's dad Howard is for the highway until he remembers what Inspiration Point means to him. It isn't just a make out spot, it's also the beautiful, quiet and serene place that he went with his wife Marion and they discussed some of the biggest decisions in their lives.
Let's face it, a good romantic relationship can be passionate and loving and fun and we've got resources here at Inspiration Point to help you with that, but relationship problems are a fact of life! We've found resources to help you with that too.
It doesn't matter if it's a little problem like finding just the right poem to say something special to your sweetie, or how to write a meaningful love note, or where to order the best flowers. Maybe it's something big like how to get back together when you made a mistake and committed a major relationship blunder out of stupidity, neglect, or just plain forgetfulness.

At Inspiration Point we believe that doing relationships right is a matter of commitment, knowledge, and the tools you need to build a great relationship. And you do need to build a relationship! Knights in shining armor riding white stallions pretty much only show up in the movies and romantic fiction novels.

If you're not commited to your relationship then break up right now. That may sound harsh but you, and everyone else will suffer a lot less heartbreak in the long run. Your commitment may only be to get to know the person better, have fun doing it, and decide whether you want to continue but that is a commitment.

Our relationship is based on a marriage of widely different backgrounds:
* Kevin is the oldest of 21 children.
* Joy is the 5th of 6 girls.
* Kevin’s dad has been married 6 times.
* Joy’s parents have been happily married over 50 years.
* Kevin suffered through an ugly divorce.
* Joy’s on her 1st marriage and intends to keep it that way!
* Kevin has a BS with a Concentation in Sociology.
* Joy graduated cum laude with a BS in Computer Science.
* Kevin was an E5 in the Navy.
* Joy was a Captain in the Air Force.
* Kevin grew up in the U.S.
* Joy grew up in Brazil.
Despite these contrasting backgrounds we constantly work together to improve our relationship. We aren't counselors, but we are coaches and we work with other couples to help them improve their relationships.
Together, we are co-authors of the bestselling book Romantic Antics: Creative Ideas for Successful First Dates, Adventurous Saturday Nights, and Playful Long Weekends.
